Bothaville, 15 May 2024: Mahindra South Africa is seeing record numbers of visitors at this year’s Nampo Harvest Day show near Bothaville.
A Larger Presence at Nampo
This year, Mahindra moved to the center of the Grain SA exhibition grounds. The company has set up its largest display yet, showcasing its full line-up of vehicles and agricultural equipment. A newly paved walkway, called Mahindra Street, now leads from the main gate to their stand.
Celebrating Milestones and Growth
This expanded stand is significant for Mahindra. The brand has always attended Nampo, and the farming community quickly embraced its first vehicles. As Mahindra grew from a small niche brand to a major industry player, its presence at Nampo also grew.
This year is especially meaningful as Mahindra celebrates 20 years in South Africa. Since opening its doors in 2004, Mahindra has become a popular brand, offering a wide range of SUVs and bakkies.
Scorpio-N’s Big Win
Mahindra is also celebrating the success of the Scorpio-N. The vehicle won 2024 Adventure SUV of the Year and Motor Enthusiasts’ Choice of 2024 at the Old Mutual Insure South African Car of the Year competition. To mark these achievements, Mahindra placed a special Scorpio-N Adventure model at the entrance of its display area.
Scorpio-N Adventure: A Special Edition
The Scorpio-N Adventure special edition boosts the off-road capabilities of the Scorpio-N 4×4. It features custom approach and departure bumpers, off-road tyres, a raised suspension with underbody protection, and a machined steel roof rack with black powder coating. Additionally, the luggage compartment includes a roof-mounted shelf.
Honouring the Farming Community

Visitor Experience at Nampo
Visitors are encouraged to stop by Mahindra’s stand. They can view the special edition Scorpio-N Adventure, other Scorpio-N versions, and a variety of bakkies and SUVs. Attendees can also test drive the new Scorpio-N and Pik Up Karoo Dusk on the Nampo off-road track.
Moreover, Mahindra is offering exclusive finance deals at the event and allows visitors to experience the vehicles in virtual reality.
