Mahindra Achieves Gold Status in the NADA Dealer Satisfaction Index
Centurion, 9 July 2024 – Mahindra has once again secured its place among the top-performing automotive brands, earning Gold Status in the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Report. It is one of only seven brands to receive this prestigious recognition.
Excellence in Dealer Satisfaction
Each year, NADA and research partner Lightstone Auto assess the relationship between vehicle manufacturers and their dealers. This evaluation reflects the brand’s service levels, vehicle quality, and customer satisfaction.
The NADA DSI Gold Award is reserved for manufacturers that achieve an overall score between 75% and 84.9% across various performance categories. Out of 35 participating brands in 2024, only seven met this standard.
Recognition for Corporate Social Investment and Growth
Beyond achieving Gold Status, Mahindra also received high praise for its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programs. Dealers expressed significant satisfaction with Mahindra’s commitment to social responsibility, earning the brand a special mention for its outstanding growth in this area.
Improvements in Key Areas
The DSI report highlighted Mahindra’s notable improvements in Media Support and Dealer Target Setting. Dealers reported increased confidence in the company’s market-driven target-setting methods, which align with their business potential.
Mahindra also showed a steady upward trend in overall dealer satisfaction from 2023 to 2024, reinforcing its reputation as a reliable and dealer-friendly brand.
A History of Excellence
Mahindra first achieved Gold Status in 2019, following two years at Silver. Since then, it has consistently maintained this ranking, demonstrating its commitment to excellence and strong dealer relationships.
The NADA DSI has been evaluating dealer satisfaction since 1996, with Lightstone conducting independent research. The survey covers multiple aspects, including:
- Communication & Relationships
- Used Cars
- CSI Programs
- Vehicle Range
- Media Support
- Parts & Distribution
- Warranty & Policy Claims
- Dealer Support and Compliance
Brands can receive a Platinum Award (85% and above), Gold Award (75%–84.9%), Silver Award (70%–74.9%), or Bronze Award (65%–69.9%).
Strong Dealer and Market Presence
In 2024, the survey included 35 brands and gathered 1,481 dealer responses. Of these, 1,298 came from Passenger and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealerships, where Mahindra operates with its SUVs and bakkies.
“Receiving a Gold Award from NADA is a clear endorsement from our dealer partners,” says Rajesh Gupta, CEO of Mahindra South Africa. “We value their feedback and will continue working closely with them to offer Authentic SUVs and Bakkies that provide exceptional value for money.”
Mahindra South Africa remains an active member of NADA and naamsa, the automotive industry business council, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and dealer support.
